On Saturday, December 15, 2018, The Hamilton Hill Arts Center invites the capital region to their grand reopening celebration at 12pm. The building is located at 409 Schenectady St.
After months of renovations, the organization will unveil their improved spaces, which will include the new Susan Cunningham library.
The event will feature performances from their African dance class, Caribbean steel pan group, Brazilian capoeira class, and more, showcasing the talent and programming the organization wishes to share with at-risk youth, local events, and school programs.
“This a full circle moment for us,” said Rachel Conn, Executive Director of the Hamilton Hill Arts Center. “2018 marked our 50th anniversary of serving our community and the renovations will help us bring hope and our culture to a new generation.”
Hamilton Hill Arts Center staff will also be on hand to provide information about their winter classes, Kwanzaa events, and future plans such as their sculpture garden project, set to begin in 2019.
This event is free, family friendly, and open to the public. Refreshments will also be served.
