The African-American Cultural Arts Center of the Capital Region
African-American Literature illuminates the beauty of a rich culture with a narrative of experiences that resonate across place and time.
To ensure it is enjoyed for future generations, Open Door Bookstore is continuing to partner with the Hamilton Hill Arts Center throughout February to help us grow the book collection for our Susan Cunningham Library.
We hope you will stop by the Open Door Bookstore (128 Jay St, Schenectady, NY) to purchase a new book, or make a donation to the Hamilton Hill Arts Center in support of this endeavor.
Don't forget to fill out the shop2gether form during your purchase. The form will also be available at the store.
Our 2019 gala planning is underway and our sponsor letter is now available. Please share it with local businesses and community members that may be interested in being a sponsor or honorary committee member.
The theme of this year’s gala is Kujenga, the Swahili word meaning “to build”.
If you are interested in volunteering on our planning committee or as a gala staff during the event, contact us at (518) 346-1262.
